In addition to our fine instruction in authentic
and traditional Chinese and Filipino Martial Arts, White Lotus also offers
training and instruction in several wonderful holistic healing disciplines,
including: Chi Kung, and Meditation.
These arts access and promote wellness on all levels
of being, and with consistent daily practice can contribute greatly towards
keeping ourselves healthy and happy into old age.
It is estimated that 80% of all illnesses are stress-related,
and the top six causes of death are stress-related. Obviously, anything
we can do to aid in recognizing and releasing excess physical, mental/emotional
and spiritual stress is to our, and our environments, great benefit. This
is where these disciplines can be of immense value, as they promote balance
on all levels, with no adverse side-effects when properly practiced.
Please see the following brief descriptions:

heath, wellness, and vitality. Many stationary and moving methods of
Chi Kung and Nei Kung are taught within the body of the T'ai Chi Ch'uan

Kung, in addition to being a philosophical and self-defense system.
Benefits of Chi Kung, Nei Kung, and T'ai Chi training include, but are
not limited, to the following:

mood disturbance

Additionally, within the Five-Formed Fist Shaolin
Kung Fu curriculum are taught many methods and forms of martial arts
chi kung. These specialized exercises can promote great strength and
vitality, along with skills vital to the martial arts practitioner.
Meditation:
Many methods of seated and standing meditation are taught both within
the T'ai Chi Ch'uan curriculum. These include various breathing methods;
meditation utilizing sound (mantra) and visualization methods.
Meditation is vital for accessing and balancing
deeper levels of ourselves, as well as for training the spirit, mind/emotions,
breath and body to work in optimum efficiency for ourselves and our
environment.
