Tai Chi for Health

Brought to you by Hartford Hospital

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese holistic exercise system with its roots in the martial arts.  It consists of slow, relaxed movements for the improvement of body and mind.  It has many unique qualities that make it beneficial for anybody, from athlete to senior citizen.  The Tai Chi for Health program was designed by Health care professionals and Tai Chi experts to improve the health of those with Arthritis and Osteoporosis and is especially well suited to prevent falls.  The exercises can be adjusted to fit the needs of the individual; most can even be done while sitting down.
